Words of wisdom

Proverb of the week: A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

You should not risk losing something that you already have by trying to get something else you think may be better. A bird in the hand is something you already have. Two (birds) in the bush is what you want but you don't have. A bird is an animal with wings which usually can fly. A bush is a green round-shaped plant with many leaves.

Lepszy wróbel w gar¶ci niż goł±b na dachu.

-"They've offered me $600 for my old car. Do you think I should take it, or wait for a better offer?"
-"Take the $600, that's my advice. A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush.
